Life As He Knows It: A Short Comic by Lucy Doan. Click on the thumbnail for the bigger version. I’ve read and listened to many stories from the LGBT community, and I know for the fact that the story can be very, very real. If your views differ from mine, please do not attack me. Gay protesters like those do exist, and I am merely illustrating what I’ve seen for so many years. What I depicted in this comic is REAL, whether or not it happens to the majority of the community or not, whether these things happen often or not - it is real. Thank you.

A lot of people don’t like the whole Kurt coming to terms with his sexuality plot line Glee is doing this year. I guess I can sympathize, but I don’t really understand. A lot of people think it’s dramatized, or embellished, what he’s going through on the show but it’s actually pretty scary how much of what he’s going through on the show is stuff I’ve gone through. I know seeing a character like him on a incredibly popular TV show when I was growing up would have given me so much hope, so I really hope Glee sticks to their guns.
